Toilet rolls are a great, eco-friendly craft material that can be transformed into festive decorations. Here are 5 easy Christmas crafts you can make with your little ones:
11. Reindeer:
Materials:
Toilet roll
Brown and white paint
Googly eyes
Red pom-pom
Brown card
Glue
Instructions:
Paint the toilet roll brown.
Once dry, glue on two googly eyes, a red pom-pom nose, and two antlers made from hand cutouts from brown card.
If you don't have brown card, you could use white or gold, or even paint white card.
2. Snowman:
Materials:
Toilet roll
White paint
Black marker
Orange pom-pom
Scarf (fabric or ribbon)
Glue
Instructions:
Paint the toilet roll white.
Once dry, draw a face with a black marker.
Glue an orange pom-pom nose and a scarf.
3. Christmas Tree:
Materials:
Toilet rolls
Green paint
Glitter
Glue
Star (gold or silver)
Scissors
Instructions:
Cut one toilet roll in half, one into three pieces, and leave one full.
Paint the toilet rolls green (leave one piece of the one you cut into three as its original color for the trunk).
Once dry, decorate with glitter, stickers, stars, pom-poms—whatever you can find.
Stick them into a triangle tree shape.
Glue a star to the top of the tree.
4. Penguin:
Materials:
Toilet roll
Black paint
White card
Orange marker or card
Googly eyes
Instructions:
Paint the toilet roll black.
Cut an arch shape out of white card.
Once dry, draw an orange beak and glue on two googly eyes, or use orange card for the feet and nose.
5. Santa Claus:
Materials:
Toilet roll
Red paint
White card
Black marker or black card
Cotton balls
Glue
Instructions:
Paint the toilet roll red.
Once dry, glue a white beard made from cotton balls and a red card hat.
Draw a face with a black marker or use googly eyes.
Color in a belt or cut one out of black card.
