I wanted to make it easy for everyone when they were looking at our games to understand what skills their child was developing whilst playing with the game. Children learn through play, and that is what initially sparked my interest in all things with Crafty Case. I was so passionate about giving my children the very best from the outset, giving them learning opportunities and opening their horizons.

I became fascinated with what their little minds would imagine and come up with. I loved setting up loads of activity trays and creating mini worlds for them to play in. But I always wanted to make sure that there were things they could learn from it, even if it didn't feel like it on the surface.

I've spoken on the Parent Guide video and our Introduction Video to The Crafty Case about the iconography that is across our games and I thought it would be good to put together a little blog piece on them too just so I can show a bit more detail an explanation behind them and why they are so important for your little one.

Visual and Spatial Reasoning

Colour and Shape Recognition

Colour and shape recognition and foundational skills that play a crucial role in a child's early development, opening doors to various learning opportunities and impacting their cognitive, social, and emotional well-being. Recognising and understanding colours and shapes form the basis for many other cognitive skills. They contribute to early maths concepts like sorting, grouping and patterns, as well as language development through vocabulary expansion and descriptive skills.
